GreenSpring International Academy of Music is a national thought-leader in music education. GreenSpring seeks to build good citizens who use their musical talents to positively impact the world and to provide meaningful experiences through the power of music. From toddlers to seniors, music programs serve a diverse array of students, providing instruction at every developmental level. GreenSpring believes that everyone with the desire to play music deserves the opportunity to do so.

VISION

The GreenSpring Foundation is an innovative resource for increasing the appreciation, performance, instruction, and therapeutic value of the music in the greater Richmond, VA region, Frederick, Maryland, and worldwide.

MISSION

The GreenSpring Foundation maintains and develops programs and performance opportunities for all children and youth, regardless of financial means or disability, utilizing the music as a catalyst for personal growth, community service, and social change.

In keeping with our statement on cultural equity, all interested students regardless of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, or religion have access to conservatory-level instruction, therapeutic music instruction, community service, and performance opportunities in order to create a more beautiful, just and equitable world through music.

PLEASE CONSIDER SUPPORTING

While we have adapted, grown and evolved due to the pandemic, these have still been the most challenging years in our 25-year history. Thank you for considering a gift of financial support as we re-imagine and innovate music education and performance. If you are able to make a contribution to the GreenSpring Foundation (formerly HARPS Foundation), a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, your tax-deductible financial gift of any amount will be deeply appreciated and will truly make a difference in the lives of the students and the community we serve.

WE ALSO NEED INSTRUMENTS, EQUIPMENT & MUSIC!

The transition to digital education has drawn attention to the challenges of equity and access in education. Not all of our students have access to an instrument needed for home practice. As a result, we have started an instrument loan program for our outreach students. These at-risk youth and students in our healthcare outreach program do not have the resources for or access to an instrument so that they can practice at home. If you have any kind of instrument- brass, woodwinds, guitars, harps, strings, keyboards, drums, children's rhythm instruments, etc.- in need of a loving home or any musical equipment (stands, benches, tuners, etc.), please consider donating it to GreenSpring Foundation. It will truly make a difference in the life of a student!
